The Physical Education Department of PRGI oordinates the
sports activities. The management’s commitment to look after
the students’ fl air for sports got additional fi llip by Government of
India’s grant for augmenting sports equipment.
At the East Campus, a Volley Ball Court and a Basket Ball Court
already exist. Courts for Ball Badminton, Shuttle Badminton
(separately for boys and girls) and Tennikoit (for girls) are coming
up. In West Campus 400 mt. Running Track, Cricket, Volley Ball,
Foot Ball, Shuttle Badminton, Long Jump, High Jump, Parallel Bar,
Weight Lifting facilities, etc. are provided. |

Selvan R. Stalin, III-BCA, has won the overall championship
for men and Selvi P. Thangamani, II-B.Sc. (Biochemistry) has
won the overall Championship for Women in Annual Track &
Field Meet in the year 2004-05.
Selvan A. Ramkumar, III-BCA, secured Second place in 62
kg category in Bharathidasan University Inter Collegiate
Weight Lifting Competition, and also won I Place in District
Level Weight Lifting Championship at Pattukottai. He also
participated in Weight Lifting Junior State in Trichy and Senior
State in Salem in the year 2004--05.
Selvan B. Praveen Balaji, I-BCA, was the Winner of Shuttle
Badminton in District Level Tournament at Panruti.
Selvan M.Vijayan, III-BCA, II Place in National Karate
Championship. He also secured First Place in Tamilnadu
Karate Championship. He also secured Second Place 55-60 kg
category, participated in Tamilnadu Silambam hampionship-
2005 at Tindivanam.
Selvan B. Jayakumar, I-BCA, has won the 3rd Place in District
Level Weight Lifting Championship at Pattukottai. |

pool and Indoor Gym, separately for boys and girls, Table-Tennis
in our West campus. |

Inter Zonal Cricket Team for 8th zone in Anna University Sports
Board. |

III B.E. (CSE). |

Lenin, IV B.Tech. (IT) did well in weightlifting in 62 kg
categories in the Anna University Sports Board. |

Mr. Gandhi, District Sports Offi cer visited the Annual
Sports Meet. |

Our students have got 4th place in Zone # 8 of Anna
University, the team was led by Miss. G. Tamil Ezhamani
of Biotech and she was selected for AUSB Zone Volley
Ball (women) Tournament 2004-2005 held at Engg. College,
Tirunelveli. |
