EXTRACT FROM NAAC COMMITTEE REPORT
The Ponnaiyah Ramajayam College is a premier College in the area and enjoys considerable goodwill of the students and parents of the region and is able to embark upon several healthy initiatives for maintaining the quality of education.

• Visionary approach of the Management is clearly seen in initiating the professional courses considering the need of the time.
• They have initiated courses in Computer Science, Computer Application, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics and several other courses, which are selfsupporting. Most of the courses are professional courses providing opportunities for the students to enter into professionalism and provide job opportunity even for the graduate students. Modern teaching aids, such as, OHP, Slide
Projector, LCD, Models and Charts are extensively used.
• College has established several academic linkages and MoU’s with institutions and industries at national and international level.
• They have made several efforts to maintain the discipline and the students and teachers are suitably rewarded for their excellent performance as seen from the examinations.
• The College has implemented successfully a system of getting Feed Back from the students for evaluating the abilities of teachers as well as identifying the academic and infrastructural problems.
• There is considerable effort in enriching the campus life as well as academic ambience by successful implementation of CDI activities, blood donation camps, environmental awareness activities and several cultural events and so on.
• The personal well being of students is ensured through the maintenance of clean campus, parking lots, toilets, protected and treated drinking water, student consumable store and canteen.
• It is commendable that quality teaching is refl ected by the dedication of the teachers, as well as of the students as evidenced from the fact that several students are in the University rank and the results of many subjects are to the extent of 100%.
• Team work and decision making through Representative Committee is adopted by the College.
• To develop the personality of the students, several activities like seminars, quiz programmes, debates are organized by the College. Similarly, facilities like internet, T.V. and C.D.’s are made available.
